Watashi Wa calls it quits - NOOOO! One of my favorite bands, Watashi Wa, recently announced that they're
splitting up. I'm really gonna miss them...they were an awesome band. You will be missed, Watashi Wa!
And Stereo Motion... - Yes, Stereo Motion spit up too. The band who used to be boy-band-ish group Phat
Chance (Then switched names to get away from the boy-band label) has broken up after only 2 albums. (One with Phat Chance,
one with Stereo Motion) I wasn't really familiar with the band, but they seemed to be fairly popular.
Flight 180 forms new band - Girl-fronted punk band Flight 180 has disbanded. But, some of the
members have formed a new band called She Said No!. Kinda makes you wonder why they didn't keep the original name...??
Holland and Katy Hudson are no more - No, they didn't disband, they are just getting new names! Holland's
new name is The Lonely Hearts, and they changed their name because of legal trouble with another
artist. Katy Hudson's new name is Katheryn Perry, and she changed it so as not to get confused
with actress Kate Hudson.
Bleach says goodbye...soon anyways - Rock stars BLEACH (and some of my personal friends...well,
kinda) are soon going to be parting ways. But, not before a few more tour dates! Tickets for their very last show recently
went on sale. The show is going to be at Rocketown in Nashville.
True Vibe splits...sort of - Christian boy band True Vibe recently parted ways...kinda. Three-fourths
of the group started a new band called Sojourn Fare, leaving the fourth (and founding) member, Jonathan Lippman (formerly
of 98 Degrees), trying to find other guys to be in True Vibe.
Earthsuit parts ways...some of them at least - Rock/Reggae/Electronica group Earthsuit
recently split. Literally. A few band members started a group named Macrosick, and some others formed a band called
MuteMath. MuteMath has a record coming out in the fall on 2 major record companies (a conglomeration, if
you will), so check that out!
Stereo Deluxx and The Frantics, in cahoots - If you haven't heard from Stereo Deluxx or The
Frantics in a while, this could be why. Some members of each group have formed a new group, called Goodbye
Audio. Look for for details later.
Music Reviews
untitled by Reality Check
So, this cd is an oldie...it was put out in 1997 or 98 I believe. And furthermore, Reality Check is no longer together...One
of the lead singers, Nathan Barlowe, left the group to form Luna Halo, which IS still together. Anyways, I thought I would
mention this cd on here anyways, as it is a goodie! Some of my favorite songs are "Carousel" and "Masquerade". "Carousel"
is about how we keep on sinning and sinning, the we'll get better, then we fall back into it. It's like we're on a "sin carousel".
And then "Masquerade" is about how people hide behind masks...pretending they are something that they're not...it's a
great song. I'm not extremely familiar with many of the other songs on the cd, but hopefully that will change soon. Oh, and
YES, they DO still sell this cd in Christian Bookstores...check on the sale rack. I got it when we were in Nashville, and
the sticker price was like $7! So I give this cd a 9 out of 10.

Wow...yet another group that "I used to not like, but I now LOVE". lol! Seriously...I used to really dislike the song
"Larger than Life" on this cd, but now I like it! The song that really made me want to get this cd is "Great are You Lord".
It's an amazing song! We sing it at BSM Praise & Worship sometimes, and it is so good! The harmonies on the song are great,
and it is an awesome Worship song to God! Another one of my favorites on the album is called "Calmer of the Storm", which
is a beautiful song that talks about letting God take control because He really is the Calmer of the storm! And then another
favorite is called "So Blue", and it talks about being sad...the bad kind of sadness, but also the good kind, the Godly kind
of sorrow. Overall, this cd gets a 9.75 out of 10! It's great!
Transparent by LaRue:
Wow. This album is awesome! To be honest, I used to really not like LaRue much, but now they are one of my favorites.
Their music is rather folksy, but sometimes it has a pop feel. One of the best songs on this album has to be "Brianna's Song",
which is about the LaRue's sister with Cerebral Palsy. The song, like many of LaRue's songs, has more of a spooky/mysterious
sound to it. It is so good. Another stand-out song on the album is called "Jaded". The song is basically about a relationship
that is falling apart. But, this song doesn't have the "I hate you, so we're through" mentality, it is much more gentle than
that. One of the lines even says "If in the end we drift apart, I want you to know God used you right from the start". It
is such a heartfelt song, and it has a beautiful tune. On a scale of 1-10, this album definitely gets a 10. It's amazing!
